Travis Gamble, Ph.D. joined the Reliance eHealth Collaborative staff in July 2016 as a health data analyst, working with the team to develop Reliance Insight, our data analytics platform that is profiled in this newsletter.
His career has spanned several diverse fields, ranging from finance and the military to h is current career in health care. He has served as an infantryman, pharmacy technician, software engineer, clinical analyst, and project manager, and the skills and experiences he has gained inform his work at Reliance.
Originally from Little Rock, AR, Travis earned a Bachelor’s degree in computer science from University of Central Arkansas, a MBA from University of Arkansas and a Ph.D. from Oregon Health & Science University. As a National Library of Medicine (NLM) Fellow, he researched effective semantic knowledge management approaches for supporting biomedical applications.
In his free time, Travis trains in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, coaches boxing, and enjoys mountain biking and playing with his 2 sons.
