Dan O’Donoghue joined the Reliance eHealth Collaborative staff in June 2017 as an implementation specialist for the Columbia Gorge region. Dan helps Reliance participating providers and users with refresher training sessions and training new participants or users in existing participating organization. He also prides himself on offering excellent customer service and working with Reliance users to recommend strategies to efficiently use Reliance products and services. Dan’s goal is to help Reliance participants take full advantage of the services so they can improve workflow efficiency, provide more informed care to patients and help to achieve quality standards to maximize payment.
Prior to joining Reliance, Dan served as health information manager at One Community Health in Hood River and held several health care roles in Kalamazoo, Michigan, including EHR trainer at Family Health Center, business analyst at Streamline Healthcare Solutions and senior environmental health specialist at the Kalamazoo County Environmental Health Department.
His training and experience with health information technology planning and implementation, as well as compliance and workflow optimization, helps him to meet the needs of Reliance users.
Born and raised on a farm near London, Ontario, Canada, Dan relocated to the Columbia Gorge region in 2000. He moved east and lived for a few years in Kalamazoo before returning to the Gorge in 2016.
Dan earned a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Biology from the University of Guelph in Ontario, Canada and a Master’s in Public Health with a specialization in Health Informatics from Michigan State University.
In his free time, Dan enjoys snowboarding and skiing in the winter and cycling and surf skiing in the summer.
